Milano: Ristorante Cracco

Ristorante Cracco is a 2 Michelin star restaurant in Milan that benefits from having Matteo Baronetto as a chef. Number 33 in San Pellegrino List of World’s Best Restaurant, it is also the best restaurant in Milano. Having had uber-crappy Italian food the night before at Don Carlos, I came with completely no expectation on what the food would taste like. Thankfully, unlike Don Carlos, Ristorante Cracco was a recommendation and not a result of Google search.

Menu changes seasonally. The best tasting menu you could get comes at a hefty 160Euro per person, but it was worth every cent. You can also order a la carte. Don’t want to spoil your dinner in case you’re thinking of going there, so I’m just going to put up several of the dish we had that night.

Amuse bouche: dried veggies and naturally colored/flavoured bread

Salmon and foie gras

Mackerel

This was a very tasty piece of raw beef

Highly recommended! If you’re in town, then this is definitely the place you should go to for a meal. Sorry for the crappy pictures, having been so disappointed by Don Carlos the previous night, I decided to not bring a camera to dinner in Milano ever again. Of course, I was stupid, because this was an awesome dinner and all I had was my Mum’s old Blackberry…

Verdict: 8/10. Definitely coming back once I’ve saved up enough of my own money.
